Meet the AAH... Team
In August 2015, Dr. Chris and Jennifer Williams, along with partners, Lauren and Justin Battles, purchased the clinic from Dr. Lawrence McTague. Expanding services in the established small animal practice, the new owners are excited to bring a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm, care taking the blossoming possibilities with innovative ideas.
Dr. CHRIS WILLIAMS, DVM
Dr. Williams was born and raised in Ardmore, and started working at Ardmore Animal Hospital, during high school at the age of 15. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Animal Science and continued on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he returned to Ardmore in 2007, where he has been practicing ever since. Dr. Williams is a expert in medical and behavioral knowledge and he enjoys helping owners to better understand their animals needs animals needs and how to help them thrive. At home he is a proud dad, keeps the garden up, and picks on six strings whenever time permits.
With an extensive background in all aspects of business management, including real estate sales and marketing, and with a particular vested involvement in veterinary medical practice over several years in AAH operations, Jennifer specializes in a grace-under-fire leadership style and shines as the torchbearer for professionalism and courtesy to customers and among fellow staff members. She likely picked up some of these skills wrangling youth during her seven years as elementary, middle, and high school teacher. Jennifer has an uncanny ability to multitask and prioritize issues while remaining calm and happy. She is a proud and devoted mom and the whole family loves their animals.
Customer Service Specialist
Caitlin is one of the first familiar faces you'll see behind our front desk when you arrive for your visit. She greets you with the warmth of her kind smile and a listening ear. Caitlin loves and has loved working with a variety of animals since early childhood. Growing up on a farm, she showed and trained horses and livestock as a 4Her. She even raised, trained, and donated an assistance dog for the mobility impaired. While attending Indiana University, she worked her summers on guest ranches in Colorado, Montana and Wyoming. Caitlin has worked here since 2014, and has a wealthy knowledge of products and animal care. She and her husband, Kyle, enjoy going on hikes with their 3 dogs, aussie/border collie, Rio, and 2 australian shepherds, Po & Asher.
Hannah has lived in the Ardmore area her whole life. She attended Dickson High School where she graduated in 2006. Her love for animals developed very early on. She was very active in Dickson FFA, showing sheep. After high school, she worked for several years taking care of people with developemental disabilities until she started her dream job here at Ardmore Animal Hospital. She started here in April of 2012 as a kennel assistant and worker her way up to a veterinary technician. In December of 2014, she took a break to stay at home with her daughter. She returned to work at Ardmore Animal Hospital in April 2017. Hannah and her husband, Josh, have one daughter, Journey. They also have 3 fur babies, 2 Boston Terriers and 1 cat.
Melissa took her first job in the veterinary medical field in Grand Prairie, TX in 2004. She worked for a small animal practice for 4 1/2 years and then moved to Ardmore to work for us in May 2009. She worked here for 5 years and left to spend more time with her Husband, and 3 children. She has returned to work full time for us since fall 2016, and is enjoying helping our patients recover and thrive. Her family enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Suzie and Pistol.
Dr. Emily McCullough, SDVM
Dr. Emily McCullough has always been passionate about veterinary medicine and caring for animals. She began working in a veterinary clinic at the age of thirteen as a kennel assistant and worked her way up. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 2013 and achieved her life-long dream of becoming a veterinarian by graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2016 with her Doctorate degree. She began working at Ardmore Animal Hospital shortly after graduation and resides in Lone Grove. Of her of animals at home, she has 3 dogs and two cats. Dr. McCullough enjoys spending time with her nieces & nephews, reading a good book, watching her Oklahoma State Cowboys in various sports (Go Pokes!) and traveling.
Lauren joined the family at Ardmore Animal Hospital in 2015, along with her husband Justin, as principal co-owners of the enterprise, teaming up with Dr. Chris and Jennifer Williams. Lauren brings rich experience in animal care and retail operations from her immersion at Kicking Bird Animal Clinic and Paws Around Town in OKC.
She has a passion to elevate the quality of AAH boarding facilities and service to the highest level anywhere. With a wealth of ideas and determination, Lauren's mission is to give owners peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are receiving the royal treatment--just the kind she'd want her own pets to enjoy. Her husband, daughter, and son, enjoy loving their six rescue dogs: Boomer, Chairman, Humphrey, Jill, Lucy, and Buddy.
Customer Service Specialist
Another familiar face up front, Joann brings customer relations saavy and supply-chain skills from her years in hospitality management. She's also worked as racehorse breeding program manager in Peaster, Texas. She loves littler critters too and may launch into "cutie pie voice" when she meets yours. She tours the kennel regularly and makes sure any animal that may want a toy to play with, has one. Joann and Caitlin set the high tone of our AAH culture--through the quality of their attention and concern for customers and their animals. Joann's daughter Maisie is a frequent volunteer at the clinic and has developed a knack for keeping playful kitties entertained. There are two dogs at home, Oscar and Lilly Bell.
LENZI CANTWELL, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician
Lenzi graduated from Murray State College in the Veterinary Technician and pre-Vet program there. She brings experience having worked at the Ada Veterinary Clinic and is dedicated to learning, while assisting with check-ins and check-outs, treatments, and helping and observing the doctors during surgeries. Lenzi is a wonderful mother to a baby girl, an avid hunter, and helps her family on their cattle ranch. She has two wonderful dogs, a rottweiler and blue heeler.
Christy is a native born Texan at heart and grew up in Dallas, Texas till she went to college. She attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas as a student athlete playing softball for the Big 12 conference as a catcher and outfielder. She received her associates degree in education and then moved to Oklahoma. She started working for Ardmore Animal Hospital in 2016, starting out as kennel staff and moving up to veterinary technician. She is currently engaged to a Love County Deputy Sheriff and has 2 dogs, Jack and Rowdy, that are the loves of her life.
